Rogers “Check My Eligibility for iPhone Upgrade” online tool now live

Rogers has gone live with their iPhone 4S upgrade eligibility online tool. This gives their current 9 million plus wireless customers the ability to see how much it would cost to upgrade to the new iPhone 4S. The form is painless to fill out but once you get a confirmation email back it might cause some frustration. It all depends on where you are in your upgrade cycle as it could get a bit costly.

Back in May, Rogers adjusted their early hardware upgrade policy and it ranges depending on the device you're upgrading from. RedBoard, The Rogers company blog, stated that "This new early upgrade offer applies to our entire lineup and replaces special device specific hardware upgrade offers we've had in the past, such as the iPhone 4 early upgrade offer":

- $10 per month for voice or quick messaging devices
- $15 per month for select smartphones, tablets and other eligible devices
- $20 per month for premium devices (example: iPhone 4S)
(the above should be multiplied by the number of remaining months until your eligible to upgrade)

You can log in to see what upgrading to the new iPhone 4S will cost you, a new 3-year contract must be signed and Rogers is also charging a one-time $35 "Hardware Upgrade Administration Fee".
